Privacy Policy

What ChatPort processes, why it is needed, and the choices you control.

This policy describes the public Chrome Web Store release 1.0.0. It does not turn private conversation content into analytics, advertising, or a product database.

Summary

ChatPort exports supported AI conversations to Notion, PDF, Markdown, or standalone HTML. Local PDF, Markdown, and HTML exports are created in Chrome and do not use the ChatPort backend. When you choose Notion export, ChatPort sends formatted text content through its backend to create a page in the Notion workspace you authorized.

Information ChatPort processes

Conversation data

ChatPort reads the active supported conversation when you open the extension. It processes the text and document structure needed for the export you select. Captured images remain in local exports in the current public release.

Notion connection data

When you connect Notion, OAuth provides authorization tokens and workspace metadata. The backend handles OAuth tokens; the extension stores an encrypted session blob and limited connection metadata in chrome.storage.local.

Website and operational data

The public website may receive ordinary hosting and server-request data needed to operate and secure the site. ChatPort does not sell conversation content or use it for personalized advertising.

How information is used

  • To generate the local PDF, Markdown, or HTML file you selected.
  • To complete a user-initiated Notion connection, list accessible destinations, and create the requested text page.
  • To diagnose a support issue only when you choose to provide a redacted report.

Local exports

PDF, Markdown, and standalone HTML are created inside the extension and Chrome. Their conversation content is not sent to the ChatPort backend or Notion. Your browser and operating system control where downloaded files are stored.

Notion exports

A Notion export occurs only after you choose Export text to Notion. ChatPort transmits formatted text content, encrypted session information, and the destination you selected so the backend can call the Notion API on your behalf. ChatPort does not maintain a separate conversation-content database for that request.

Service providers and sharing

Notion processes data when you authorize a workspace and export a page. Vercel runs the Notion OAuth and export backend. Hostinger hosts this public website. These providers process information under their own terms and policies.

Retention and control

  • Local files remain where you save them.
  • Connection metadata and the encrypted session remain in your Chrome profile until you disconnect or clear extension data.
  • Use local formats without connecting Notion if you do not want a cloud export.
  • Choose which Notion workspace and pages to authorize.
  • Remove the connection in Notion settings to revoke Notion access completely; disconnecting only in ChatPort does not revoke it at Notion.
  • Delete exported Notion pages or local files from their destination directly.
